It's really cool that there are other bloggers who started for the same reason as I did, and who just want to find new music and share it with as many people as they can.
Thanks again for reading and commenting and having excellent Soundcloud playlists!WhatIfIHadAMusicBloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12293989299822837681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3329555205793452827.post-86473786681291363372015-02-11T14:23:55.110+00:002015-02-11T14:23:55.110+00:00I definitely agree with your post and I found it v...I definitely agree with your post and I found it very inspiring! Even though there are a lot of music blogs of varying different sizes out there, others shouldn't be put off starting their own blog.

For example, it is sometimes the newer, smaller blogs that take the time to discover relatively unknown bands and artists, particularly those that don't necessarily fit within the 'popular' genres of the current time and they often have their own personal knowledge (e.g. local music scene, etc). For me, it is also just really exciting to stumble across new passionate voices writing about their love of music.

I've always loved finding out about new music, whether it is browsing in my local record store, going to gigs and making sure I catch the support acts, asking people for their recommendations and, more commonly now, reading music blogs and searching online. Like you, I never started my blog in pursuit of becoming a journalist. I use mine both as a log of new music that I love (for myself) and also for sharing it with other like-minded people, who also have a passion for discovering new music.

I dont know about you, but since starting my blog I've also actually found I'm discovering many more exciting acts than I did in my pre-blog days, because it has motivated me to go out there and browse the internet, other music blogs, Twitter, Soundcloud, etc and now I'm receiving emails from new bands that I never would've known about.

Anyway, great article - thanks!

Pete (Digital Shuffle)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
